SBEM students visit the Municipality of Aerodrom
On December 10, 2021 the students from the Taxation and Corporate finance courses, as well as their Erasmus peers from political studies, visited the Municipality of Aerodrom. The students were accompanied by Igor Srbinoski, Professor of practice, Dusica Stevcevska Srbinoska, PhD, Mrs Viktorija Gombar, International student coordinator, and Mrs Iva Minoska, Record office supervisor.
The political and economic science students from France and Spain, together with their Macedonian colleagues studying at the American University in Skopje, got acquainted with the the budget structure and the local competencies of the Municipality of Aerodrom. The students were welcomed by the Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom, Timcho Mucunski, who explained the funding priorities in the coming year, as well as the overall implementation of local policies.
The main forthcoming investment activities that were singled out by the Mayor are the investments in the primary schools, the construction of a new kindergarten and an innovation hub, the construction of new parks and greening of new spaces, and more adequate maintenance of the existing recreational areas.
At the same time, the students had the opportunity to pose questions to the mayor and the two municipal representatives in the field of finance, entrepreneurship, education, culture, sports and social issues, as well as to exchange experiences and knowledge in the field of local self-government.
