ELT Methods virtual guest lecture
On 2 April 2020, the UACS School of Foreign Languages students attending the English Language Teaching Methods class, and their course professor, Prof Dr Marjana Vaneva, were virtual hosts to Ms Marija Dzonova, an English language teacher, a school owner and a Pearson ELT consultant.
The guest speaker shared some of her teaching and managing tips, talked about her teaching different ages and levels, and discussed her consulting experience with Pearson.
The students are to start their class observation classes and actually teach for their practical exam, so this virtual meeting, with a practitioner, guest from outside academia who is in everyday contact with students learning English, adds to building their self-confidence.
