Erasmus am Wallersee, Austria

In the second week of July 2024, our professors Dusica Stevcevska Srbinoska and Igor Srbinoski visited Privatuniversität Schloss Seeburg in Austria to officialize the new Erasmus mobility and mutual collaboration agreement (https://www.uni-seeburg.at/).

The uniqueness of this university is the castle itself where the teaching takes place in an idyllic setting, on the banks of Lake Wallersee, in proximity to the city of Salzburg. Seeburg Castle is a 15th-century edifice constructed by Ulrich von Dachsberg zu Seeburg. Its astonishing architecture consists of four stories, a basement-placed library, the Chapel of St. Rupert where wedding ceremonies occur, and a defensive wall with four corner towers. The building complex that once served as the country residence of nobles now hosts the university administration and academic facilities.

Famous for its semi-virtual studies, Privatuniversität Schloss Seeburg offers an excellent academic opportunity for the UACS SBEM students given the compatibility of the study programs, the reputable academic staff, and the possibility to feel the beauty of Salzburg, its lakes and winter sports offered using a short direct flight from Skopje to Salzburg. We want to extend our special gratitude to Ms Elena Scheidhammer and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Florian Follert for their warm hospitality, guided facility tour, and demonstration of the region’s culinary specialties.
