
Ivan Mirkovski, PhD

Ivan Mirkovski is an architect, urban planner and university lecturer in urban design studies at the Faculty for Architecture and Design at the UAC Skopje. In 2015, Mirkovski is a laureate for “The Great Prize for Architecture” for his project “House on Vodno Hill” and later published in A10 magazine from Amsterdam, issue 68. He is the Founder of Skopje Architecture Week and Forum Skopje. Since 2016, Mirkovski is a curator of the festival for creative industries in Skopje “Skopje Kreativa” and since 2012 a member of the board of experts at the European Prize for Urban Public Space, a biennial European competition held in Barcelona. At the moment he works and resides in Skopje where he is partner at the architectural studio Smart Living and pursues his doctoral title at the University of Technology in Vienna. His research field gravitates towards social morphology and responsibility as a key factor between the built realm and its procreators.
