On 30 November, UACS students from the School of Foreign Languages attended an online guest lecture delivered by Prof. Mariko Eguchi from the University of Shimane, Japan.
The students had the oportunity to learn about the Japanese traditional performing art Kagura which is believed to be the oldest form of entertainment in Japan. Students were shown 6 different short tourism videos specially designed by prof. Enguchi and discussed the effectiveness of the videos in terms of encouraging tourists to visit Japan. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss culture and tourism, learn about and compare cultural traditions in both countries.
UACS and University of Shimane are part of the Global Partners in Education program and this is the first collaboration within the course Global Understanding taught by prof. Ivana Trajanoska.
