Prof. Dodovski at Other Story Festival
From 8 to 10 September 2017, the Short Fiction Festival “Other Story” was held in Skopje. This year’s edition was dedicated to Surrealism, and the renowned Macedonian poet, fiction writer and essayist Vlada Urosevic was awarded the festival’s Laureate Prize. Dr Ivan Dodovski, UACS Associate Professor in Critical Theory and Literature, moderated the panel on the festival’s main topic “Freedom, Dream, Love”; the speakers included author laureate Vlada Urosevic, Professor of Comparative Literature Dr Lidija Kapushevska Drakulevska, cultural studies expert Iskra Geshoska and philosopher Mariglen Demiri from Macedonia, the editor of the publishing house “Fabrika knjiga” and magazine “Rec”, Dejan Ilic from Serbia and Stanimir Panayotov, philosopher and poet from Bulgaria.
