On 06th of December prof. Marjan I. Bojadjiev PhD, UACS provost and Honorary Consul of Hungary, participated in the Conference “Dialogue on the Future of Europe: Is enlargement a key to the future?” The conference was organized by the Ministry of Justice of Hungary, as part of the European debate about the future of Europe.

The conference was attended by other high profile speakers, including Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement and Member of the European Commission, Jadranka Joksimović, Minister for European Integration of Republic of Serbia and members of the EU parliament.
Most of the participants fully endorsed the integration of the Balkans, especially Minister Szijjarto and István Balogh, the deputy secretary in the MFA. The address of prof. Bojadjiev focused on the following key points: Europe can’t continue to be an economic giant and a political dwarf; EU is not complete without the WB6 countries, EU should support the Open Balkan imitative and even more, EU should integrate the WB6 countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).
