On May 4th and 5th, a series of debate competitions were organized between the University American College Skopje and the International Balkan University, facilitated by our own UACS Prof. Ivana Trajkovska.
The first debate of the series was held at UACS, under the topic “Scientific testing on animals should be banned”, with UACS students Jovana Antovska, Tea Stefanovska, and Iskra Andreevska facing off against IBU students Damir Ismailovski, Olivera Atanasova, Erjon Rama and Prof. Marija Stevkovska, debating before members of the jury: Dr. Aleksandra Cesinovska, Prof. Atanas Kirjakovski, and Prof. Sandra Grujevska. The second debate was in turn held at IBU, under the topic “Artificial Intelligence does more harm than good”, with students Maja Stojmenovska, Simona Tunevska, and Ksenija Abramova defending UACS honors.
We are proud of our students and their efforts in both parts of this debate, as we’re sure there’s much more to come from them in the future!
