Translation class visit
On 14 February 2018, Dr. Marija Todorova visited UACS as a guest speaker in the Preparation for Translation and Interpreting class, talking to 2nd year students from the School of Foreign Languages. The students and their course professor, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marjana Vaneva, had the guest speak about her first translation experience, her translation work up to now, and discussing her latest translation project, Voice and Verse, for which she had been co-translating with a colleague from Hong Kong.
Dr. Marija Todorova holds PhD in English language and literature – Translation Studies from Hong Kong Baptist University, where she teaches translation.
The students engaged in a fruitful discussion with the speaker, talking about their translation experience and predicting the challenges in this profession.
