UACS participated in the Open Days of Zdravko Cvetkovski and Georgi Dimitrov State High Schools in Skopje
On March 19, 2018, UACS participated in the Open Days of Zdravko Cvetkovski and Georgi Dimitrov State High Schools in Skopje.
During the visit, SGGUGS Zdravko Cvetkovski high school graduates had the opportunity to attend a lecture delivered by the Dean of the UACS School of Architecture and Design (SAD), Prof. Dr. Mishko Ralev, and the adjunct faculty and professor of practice at SAD, Fetah Fetahu. Their presentation covered the topic of architecture, what is the difference between studying at this School and other schools of architecture and design, important information regarding the study process, grading criteria, study concentrations, courses covered, etc. Furthermore, the Records Office Supervisor, Iva Minoska, presented the enrollment criteria and benefits of studying at UACS, the study programs, the Open Day of the University, the open call for awarding scholarships for the academic year 2018/2019, etc., thereby providing all necessary information to the potential students.
On the same day, UACS representatives also participated in the Open Day of Georgi Dimitrov State High School in Skopje. The faculty member of the School of Business Economics and Management (SBEM), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilijana Petrovska, along with the Marketing Department Coordinator, Ema Kastratovikj, presented the high school graduates with the benefits of studying at the University, the way of teaching, study programs offered, etc. The fourth-year students who attended this presentation, had the opportunity to participate in the Spaghetti Challenge game. They were divided in several teams, and the aim of the game was to work together towards making the highest spaghetti tower and develop their creative spirit. The players on the winning team got a prize from UACS.
By engaging in a discussion for their preferred area of study throughout the competition, the students were advised on how to make the right decision for their university studies.
University American College Skopje held its presentations as part of the project “Schools of the City of Skopje with open doors for schools and universities for promotion of their study programs”, initiated by the City of Skopje.
