English Literature 2

English Literature II surveys the literary, cultural, philosophical, religious, social, and economic dimensions of the British literature at the end of the nineteenth and the twentieth century through a chronological study of the major authors and their writings. In this course, we will read and analyze selected works (poetry and prose) written by the most important novelists and poets which will help you understand the development of English literature, the contemporary English novel and poetry, and a brief survey of the English drama.
