How to Apply ?

  1. Application form (University American College Skopje)
  2. Certificates and diplomas from previous studies from a secondary education institution and transcripts of completed courses.
  3. Birth certificate or a citizenship document ( please submit certified true copies of these documents )
  4. One (1) photo
  5. For those aplicants who have equired their secondary education abroad, they are required to have a validation of the certificates and the diploma issued by the Ministry of Education
  6. A copy of the payment for registration or tuition

Freshman Seminar Program

The Freshman Seminar at UACS offers first-year students the opportunity to get familiar with all the bylaws and procedures of the University which will help students to be prepared during their studies.  The seminar is held in the beginning of the academic year by the administration and faculty members.

During the freshmen seminar the student will be informed about the following topics:

Tuition and Scholarship

UACS Foundation scholarship program for high school students will award 12 scholarships for the academic year 2016/2017.

Applications from high school students graduating in 2016 should be sent no later than 1. 6. 2016.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS

Eligible to apply are full time high school students who have passed the state exam (matura) and graduate in 2016 from private or public high school in the Republic of Macedonia.   State exam (matura) certificate can be submitted after the applicants have received the state exam (matura) results from the state institutions or their high school.

UACS Foundation will award scholarships for the following schools:

  1. School of Business Economics and Management
  • full scholarship
  • full scholarship for the concentration in accounting and audit (to be awarded after UACS has received the authorization from the Ministry of Education)
  • scholarships that cover 50% of the tuition fee

 

  1. School of Architecture and Design
  • 1 full scholarship
  • 1 scholarship that covers 50% of the tuition fee

 

  1. School of Law
  • 1 scholarship that covers 50% of the tuition fee

 

  1. School of Computer Science and Information Technology
  • 2 scholarships that cover 50% of the tuition fee

 

  1. School of Political Science and Psychology
  • 1 scholarship for the concentration in International Relations and Diplomacy that cover 50% of the tuition fee
  • 1 scholarship for the concentration in Psychology that covers 50% of the tuition fee

 

  1. School of Foreign Languages
  • 1 scholarships that cover 50% of the tuition fee

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  1. How do i choose a study program?
  • Our Student Records Office will assist you in the process of choosing an academic program that is right for you. In case you find it difficult to make up your mind about certain study programs, our professors are always available to explain their curriculum to you in more details.

 

  1. Are courses from other schools in Macedonia and abroad recognized and accepted at UACS?
  • Yes, UACS accepts transfer credits from other schools and universities. The acceptance of the transfer credit is contingent upon the compatibility of the courses at both universities. Our student coordinators will help you through the process if you need assistance.

 

  1. I would like to spend a semester abroad; can i do that while studying at UACS?
  • Yes, UACS has cooperation with universities from USA and Europe. UACS students can take one semester abroad. Most of the schools do accept UACS credits towards graduation and getting a degree. The complete list of Universities can be found on our web page. (LINK OD ERASMUS)

 

  1. Exept for the tuition, are there any other costs ?
  • UACS has a policy of fair pricing. We do not have any hidden costs. Besides the tuition, and depending on the level of the study program, there are several administrative fees that need to be paid upon enrollment. This information is provided to the students when they apply and before they enroll at UACS on part of our Finance Office and our student coordinators.

 

  1. Does UACS organize internships for its students?
  • UACS is among the first Universities in Macedonia to provide internships for its students through companies in our Business Council. The Business Council is consisted of more than 150 companies, organizations, institutions and NGO-s that support UACS.

 

  1. My financial resources are limited. Can i apply for some sort of scholarship at UACS?
  • UACS offers scholarships for the best students that complete the first and the second year. However, these resources are quite limited. UACS also offers special discounts for students that continue their Graduate Program at the UACS.
  1. I have missed 20% of the classes. Can i take the exams?
  • Yes, but you cannot earn points for class activity and participation. However, if you miss more than 50% of the classes, you can only take the Make-up Exam.

 

  1. If I fail the exam, can I retake it?
  • You can retake it as a Make Up Exam. But if you do not pass for the second time, than you need to register the course again. UACS will invoice additional course intake.

 

  1. I’m a foreign student. Do i need to apply for validation of my high school diploma?
  • Everyone who enrolls at a university in Macedonia must have validation of the previous education from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia. UACS Team will be glad to submit the documents on your behalf.

 

  1. I’m a foreign student. I don’t need visa to enter Macedonia. Do i need to obtain some sort of a student visa?
  • Please advice the nearest Consular office for more details and informations. Our International Office will be glad to assist you.
