Two Papers of Professor Vaneva at the ELTAM 2016 Conference

The UACS School of Foreign Languages took active participation at the 9th ELTAM-IATEFL-TESOL International Biannual conference held from 14 October to 16 October, 2016 at hotel Drim in Struga.

Along with the School’s undergraduate students’ help given during the conference and with their poster presentation at the event – both activities contributing immensely to their development as language students and to their growth in the future career – the School’s faculty also participated with its alumni and current graduate students.

Namely, the Dean of UACS School of Foreign Languages, Assoc. Prof. Marjana Vaneva, PhD, had two co-authored papers: one titled: “Dyslexia-Friendly English Classroom”, which is co-authored with the current MA student Marija Dzonova, and the other one titled: “Understanding and Promoting EFL Vocabulary Instruction – A Case Study of Macedonian Primary Schools”, co-authored with Tatjana Jovcheska, MA.

Ms. Dzonova is currently being mentored by Assoc. Prof. Marjana Vaneva, PhD in her writing of the thesis, as was Ms. Jovcheska during her MA studies until she obtained her MA degree in TESOL.

The papers mark a fruitful scholarly cooperation between a mentor and the students – a well-established practice at the University American College Skopje.
