Audience Development: Research by Prof. Dr. Ivan Dodovski

On 27 June 2017, Youth Cultural Centre in Bitola has organised a public debate on ‘Quality Audience Development’. Dr. Ivan Dodovski, UACS Associate Professor, has been invited as a keynote speaker to present the results of his research entitled ‘Audience is Watching You – Challenges to Audience Development by Independent Cultural Organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Serbia’, carried out together with Dr. Goran Tomka from Serbia and Aida Vezic from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Their paper includes conclusions and recommendations based on a series of public focus group discussions held in Bitola, Belgrade and Mostar in November and December 2016, which included participants from cultural organisations and artistic groups from the three countries.

The discussants of the results of this research in Bitola have included Vladimir Lazovski, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, Petrit Sarachini from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, and Maja Angelovska from the Youth Cultural Centre in Bitola.
