Climb Everest to Refresh Your Team Spirit

In strategic partnership with Koncept training center, University American College Skopje has delivered a full day of training on “Participative Management and Leading Teams”. The training course was delivered on part of UACS faculty member in Leadership and experienced trainee, Ms. Makedonka Dimtirova, MPPM.

The distinguished participants had the possibility to experience the concepts of team building, strategy and participative management through the business simulation that puts the team members in a real life situation of a Mount Everest expedition. In an excellent spirit, the team successfully summited the mountain.

Also, in the process of preparation for the expedition simulation, the participants had the opportunity to learn more regarding the tradition and culture of Nepal and the life on Everest from an experienced Macedonian mountaineer, Prof. d-r. Sasko Kedev, PhD, who has climbed all seven world’s highest mountain summits.

This training is an excellent opportunity for team building and gaining tips for leading teams more effectively, making collective decisions and how different leadership approaches can affect team performance in situations with time and competitive pressures.

The final outcomes focus on how teams and their leaders deal with tradeoffs between short-term task completion and longer-term team effectiveness.
