As part of this year’s International week, SBEM students in Principles of Project Management & Operations Management were inspired by guest speaker Mr. Vugar Rustemli, PMP, PMI-ACP, and CDF-certified project professional. Digital Transformation as one of the trends in the Project Economy across the globe, was treated in the presented case study. Basically, the case study was an example of a successful digital transformation project that solved the need of registering, train, assigning, and tracking more than 10,000 people in 100 locations. The project was delivered by utilizing the Agile approach by the team distributed over the 5 countries in mid of Covid19 pandemic conditions. The main challenges were bottlenecks in communication flow, system integration, and end- user resistance. Best practices of project management, the human side of change management, active stakeholder engagement, and a transparent communication approach were the main pillars behind the successful delivery of the project.

The shared insights by the guest lecturer can serve as a creative Case study in the following part of the semester.
