Prof. D-r Ivana Trajanoska, has been nominated for the Rosina Chia Teacher of Excellence Award of the Global Partners in Education initiative for 2021

UACS faculty Assist. Prof. D-r Ivana Trajanoska, Acting Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, has been nominated for the Rosina Chia Teacher of Excellence Award of the Global Partners in Education initiative for 2021. This is Prof. Trajanoska’s third nomination following the ones in 2018 and 2020.

The Rosina Chia Teacher of Excellence Award has been established to honor the late founder of the Global Partners in Education Initiative Dr. Rosina Chia, a cross-cultural psychologist who in 2008, with the partners involved in the Global Understanding course, and Dr. Elmer Poe established Global Partners in Education.

Global Partners in Education (GPE) is an East Carolina University led membership organization of Higher Education Institutions that are committed to providing their students opportunities for meaningful and impactful international education experiences through Global Virtual Exchange (GVE). Their goal is to prepare students to succeed in an increasingly interconnected world by providing greater access to experiences that help them improve the intercultural communication and collaboration skills necessary to effectively navigate culturally diverse environments. It includes more than fifty higher education institutions from all continents.

We congratulate Prof. Trajanoska on her achievement and positive impact on her students and partner universities. It is a great recognition of Prof. Trajanoska and UACS’ dedication and commitment to encourage and empower students to respect and effectively collaborate with individuals from diverse cultures and to understand both themselves and their place in the world.
