UACS School of Foreign Languages co-organizes an international philological conference abroad

Following the success of last-year’s, joint conference event as co-organizer in Poland, the UACS School of Foreign languages is proud to continue the cooperation with its ERASMUS+ partner – the Department of Philology, Stanisław Staszic University of Applied Sciences in Piła, Poland, and for its second time, act as a co-organizer of the conference held in Pila, Poland.

At the conference in 2017, the UACS English language department was represented with three papers, made in collaboration between Prof. Dr. Marjana Vaneva, a member of the conference scientific committee, and three School’s alumni: Tatjana Jovcheska, MA, Marija Petkovska MA, and Marija Ivanovska, MA student. Each paper was co-authored by the mentor, Prof Vaneva, and one at-a-time alumni: ‘Vocabulary instruction in the Macedonian EFL primary classroom: are teachers aware of the teaching strategies?’ by Vaneva, Jovcheska; ‘Information technology in the Macedonian language teaching classroom’ by Vaneva, Petkovska; and ‘The use of internet for learning English in high schools in Bitola’ by Vaneva, Ivanovska. The abstracts were well received and the full papers were sent to be published in the conference proceedings.
