Official closing of the International Summer School for Architecture and Design in Ohrid

The ceremony on the occasion of the official closing of the 5th International Summer School for Architecture and Design was held on July 1, 2017 (Saturday), in the Lapidarium Museum in Ohrid. The Summer School has become a tradition of the School of Architecture and Design at UACS, and each year, it is visited by more and more students and professors from the country and abroad. The 5th session of the International Summer School for Architecture and Design was held during the period June 25 – 2 July, 2017, in Ohrid City.  

The theme of this year’s Summer School was “Natural Systems”, and more than 20 students participated under the mentorship of architect Dean Lach from the renowned architecture studio in Ljubljana, Slovenia, “ENOTA”. Esteemed architect Yurij Lichen from Ljubljana was a guest lecturer at the Summer School, along with the visiting professors Kresimir Rogina and Vinko Penezić from “Penezić & Rogina” architectural firm in Zagreb, Croatia.

The certificates were awarded to the participating students on part of the Dean of UACS School of Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. Mishko Ralev, and Vladimir Deskov, PhD c., Director of the International Summer School.

The ending of the 5th International Summer School for Architecture and Design also marked the official opening of the exhibition ‘World Heritage Sites in Hungary’, on part of the Hungarian Embassy in Macedonia. The Honorary Consul of Hungary in Ohrid, Prof. Dr. Marjan I. Bojadjiev addressed the participants and officially opened the exhibition.
