Guest lecture on ‘Forensic crime scene investigation and continuity of physical evidence’ at the School of Law

On 22 November 2017 the students from the UACS School of Law who are taking the course Criminalistics with Asst. Prof. Jelena Ristikj, PhD, had the opportunity to follow a guest lecture on the topic of ‘Forensic crime scene investigation and continuity of physical evidence’. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Slobodan Oklevski, Superintendent at the Department of Criminalistics and Technical Examinations at the Ministry of Interior Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia and an associate professor at the Faculty of Security in Skopje.

During the presentation, a detail presentation was given on the authority, organizational structure and the fields of expertise of the Department of Criminalistics and Technical Examinations at the Ministry of Interior Affairs, types of leads of criminal offences and methods of identification of people and objects. Furthermore, the students had the opportunity to see how the instruments and equipment for forensics crime scene investigation are used. In addition, some of the students had the opportunity to use proper instruments and individually trace leads, as a fingerprint.
