UACS START UP Competition 2019

IdeaMakers – Driving Digital Innovation Challenge

What is IdeaMakers challenge about?
An university-wide challenge held from 19-22 November with a final pitch on 27 November.

Track 1- Corporate Innovation and New Ventures

Track 2 –Social Innovation

A primary requirement is that the solution must leverage technology as a key component of the business model.
Teams of 2-5 undergraduate students from different faculties identify an important problem that can be solved by digital innovation.
Teams receive mentorship from faculty, industry leaders and experienced entrepreneurs for an opportunity to advance their idea and professional network. The mentors will guide student teams through the process of pitching their early-stage entrepreneurial ideas to a panel of industry experts.

UACS IdeaMakers is an idea pitch and not a business plan competition, so the teams will be in their early stages of figuring out how to solve a big problem.
Teams of 2 to 5- Any undergraduate student currently enrolled at UACS is eligible to participate. Teams must have a minimum of 2 students and a maximum of 5. From at least 2 different faculties to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, teams should have members that represent at least 2 different faculties from UACS.
For the final pitch teams should create a VIDEO and a 5-minute PPT presentation.

This event is part of a global initiative Global Entrepreneurship Week, powered by Startup Macedonia, a celebration of the innovators and job creators in 170 countries by over 15.000 partner organizations who promote startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.Register your participation until 13 November at networking@uacs.edu.mk
