Guest lecture by Prof. Shaban Sulejmani
On 28 March 2017, UACS School of Law students taking the course in History of Law with the course instructor, Asst. Prof. Marina Andeva, PhD, had the possibility to follow a guest lecture on “Sharia law”. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Shaban Sulejmani, professor at the Faculty of Islamic Science – Skopje.
During the presentation, Prof. Sulejmani made an overview of the historical development of Sharia law, by explaining its basic concepts, definitions, and sources. Furthermore, Prof. Sulejmani provided an overview of the practical application of Sharia law in the Republic of Macedonia, in the past and today.
