Guest speaker Sofka Mufishovska in the Business English graduate course

On 23 November 2017, the postgraduates from the Business English course within their second-cycle studies, taught by Assoc. Prof. Marjana Vaneva, PhD, welcomed a guest speaker from the business world. The speaker who talked to the students was Ms. Sofka Mufishovska. She holds a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the Netherlands and has interned in the Dutch embassy and worked in a bank prior to replacing her degree prospects with her parents’ family business in Macedonia and finding her place in the chair of restaurants that her family runs in Skopje.

Ms. Mufishovska talked with the postgraduate students about the challenge she has for this job, the risks that she and her family are constantly facing with, but also about the love she strongly feels for this job. She is in charge of the office work in her company and supervises the day-to-day activities, which keeps her more than busy each day, and shared the good and bad experiences with the students. However, she has never had second thoughts about choosing her current job.

The students have Business English as a first course in their second-cycle studies programme. They actively participated in the discussion and asked questions.
