New Book Translation by Prof. Ivan Dodovski

The latest translation from English into Macedonian by Dr. Ivan Dodovski, UACS Professor in Critical Theory and Literature, has been published by the Orthodox Diocese of Skopje headed by Archbishop Stefan of Ohrid and Macedonia. The volume entitled The Enlargement of the Heart: ‘Be Ye Also Enlarged” (2 Corinthians 6:13) in the Theology of Saint Silouan the Athonite and Elder Sophrony of Essex by Dr. Zacharias Zacharou comprises a series of remarkable lectures on the nature and purpose of human existence which have been delivered in Wichita, Kansas, at the 2001 Clergy Brotherhood Retreat of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church. The author Dr. Zacharias Zacharou is an archimandrite of the Patriarchal Stavropegic Monastery of St. John the Baptist in Essex, England (under the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate), and one of the most prominent world theologians and monastic leaders of contemporary Christian Orthodoxy. He holds degrees in theology from the Institute of St. Sergius in Paris, France, and the University of Thessalonica, Greece, and also a the degree of Doctor of Theology from the latter institution. In May of 2011, Dr. Zacharias Zacharou was awarded the honorary doctorate from Saint Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary in the USA, in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the spiritual life of the Church in America.
