The TRANScultural Communication and TRANSlation Network, which has celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2022, joins together 22 partner universities from 12 countries. The network focuses on Translation Studies and Transcultural Communication not only in the European lingua franca, German and English, but also in languages “of low diffusion”. The main goal of the TRANS network is to enhance scholarly, academic and public awareness of the importance of translation and multilingual, professional communication in South-East Europe. Translation has a crucial role in a successful integration in the European society establishing friendly and supportive relations among neighboring countries in the Danube region. The network organizes TRANS summer schools, scientific conferences, publishing books, promoting e-learning courses and applying for scientific projects focusing on various challenges within translations studies, multilingualism and interdisciplinarity. The Trans network and CEEPUS coordinator for the University American College Skopje has been Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivana Trajanoska since 2014 when UACS School of Foreign Languages became a member of this great network and offered these excellent opportunities to UACS students.

Hello! My name is Eli Kerova and I’m a third-year student at the School of Foreign Languages at University American College Skopje. During the month of March 2023, I was engaged in a student exchange program through the CEEPUS Program in Timisoara, Romania. The experience was very interesting and helpful. The city was very beautiful and had a lot of places to visit. The host University, Politehnica University Timisoara, was very welcoming. I recommend it to anyone thinking about an international study experience abroad, even if it is only for a couple of weeks, to say yes and do it. Every experience is unique and helps develop our character.
