Aneta Naumoska, PhD guest speaker at the School of Foreign Languages

On 26 October 2018, the UACS graduates attending the Business Communication course taught be Assoc Prof Dr Marjana Vaneva, welcomed their guest Aneta Naumoska, PhD, from the St. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Since one of the main objectives of the course is to teach and use business terminology, thus improve the students’ interaction in business settings, Dr Naumoska was invited to be a guest speaker in that class and address the students.

She teaches at the state university, one of the courses is Business English, so was asked to share with the students the experience of having taught this course and tell this group what challenges the students mostly face, but also, since she is a creator of an English-Macedonian Business dictionary application, the guest talked about her experience as a linguist – to compile the dictionary, and an entrepreneur – to found an application. The students were interested to know how much time she had needed to start her idea (the dictionary is not complete, and new words are added daily), and what motives and goals she had had before initializing the process.
